Nike have just announced a new partnership that fuses FC Barcelona’s relentless pursuit of excellence with Kobe Bryant’s iconic Mamba Mentality in a linkup set to inspire the next generation of athletes around the world.

Bringing the Kobe Sheath to professional football for the first time, the collection encapsulates the culture of relentless self-improvement and commitment central to Barça’s DNA and Kobe’s legacy. 

Inspired by Kobe’s love for the game and admiration for FC Barcelona’s historic philosophy, the collection recognises Kobe’s unrelenting discipline and celebrates his drive for greatness, which defines the club. 

The essence of the partnership has culminated in Barça’s new 2025–26 away kit, set to debut on July 31, when Barcelona face FC Seoul as part of the club’s Asian preseason tour. 

The jersey is brought to life with a light gold base, complemented by violet and black accents — with the traditional Nike Swoosh replaced with the Kobe Sheath. Both the club crest and Kobe Sheath are glossed with a 3D snakeskin texture. 

Shorts featuring a black base with a snakeskin-textured pattern, and socks embossed with a Kobe Sheath over the shin and “Barça” on the calf, complete the full kit.

More than just a kit drop, the Kobe x Barça partnership includes new Kobe x FC Barcelona Air Force 1 Protro, as well as a selection of co-branded lifestyle apparel.

The Kobe x FC Barcelona apparel will be available globally from today at nike.com, the Barça Official Store, and select Nike retail locations. The Kobe x Barcelona footwear will launch globally on July 31.
