F.C. Copenhagen and adidas have just dropped a 90s-inspired ‘Copenhagen Originals’ collection, and it is an instant classic.

The collection is inspired by the spirit and cultural zeitgeist of 1990s Copenhagen, a key era in the club’s history. Not only was this the decade in which the club was founded, but it was a defining time when the city was bursting with creative originality and cultural capital.

The influence of the underground scene, which shaped Copenhagen’s identity, is a key facet of the collection, reflected in the campaign, which was shot in a series of stills set against the streets of urban Copenhagen – effortlessly capturing the aesthetics of the 1990s.

The collection itself features the iconic adidas Originals tracksuits, shirts, and crewnecks all set in the classic F.C. Copenhagen dark blue, with the signature adidas three stripes along the sides.

With each piece featuring the iconic adidas Originals trefoil logo, alongside F.C. Copenhagen’s crest, it merges the club’s historical legacy with adidas’ streetwear heritage. Not only does the collection embody the spirit of the 90s, but each piece also features a badge which pays homage to F.C. Copenhagen’s two parent clubs, celebrating the legacy of the original teams.

The ‘Copenhagen Originals’ collection is more than just a drop; it’s a celebration of the club’s historic bond with the city, which embraces adidas’ position at the intersection of sport, fashion, and culture, while staying true to the city’s rich DNA and cultural heritage.

The collection is now available to purchase at the FCK fanshop.
