The football culture scene has been thriving in recent years, but JD have just taken it up a notch. The leading retailer for sports, fashion, and lifestyle brands have just announced the launch of four exclusive new colourways for the New Balance 1000.
Paying homage to the intertwinement of sport and culture, the campaign features prominent stars from different industries coming together against the iconic backdrop of London. Featuring brand athlete and England star Bukayo Saka, renowned British actor Araloyin Oshunremi, and emerging rapper Redveil, the campaign is also a reminder that New Balance are working with some of the biggest talents in the world at the top of their game.

Going back into the vault, JD and New Balance have revived a millennial classic, bringing the iconic silhouette, which was first released in 1999, back into the modern age. Synonymous with its time, the NB 1000 features bold and futuristic styling intricately etched into the shoe. The reissued silhouette is bolstered with an inverted mesh upper and suede overlay design. The ABZORB heel cushioning completes the design — culminating in a refined tech-inspired look ready for the modern era of fashion.

JD are a household name in British footwear heritage, and this exclusive drop is another reminder of how powerful the relationship between football and culture can be. The silhouette epitomises the value of embracing various influences, with its unique and intricate design a reminder that it is good to be different and stand out from the crowd. Co-signed by Bukayo Saka himself, the silhouette embraces London’s cultural essence and successfully fuses it with an iconic design made to stand out in a new era of footwear.
The four new 1000 colourways are available to buy now at JD stores, globally and online.
