22-year-old Morgan Rogers is making serious noise both on and off the pitch this season – but there’s no silencing this young midfielder.
After bagging seven Premier League goals so far in the 2024/25 campaign, Rogers has written a pretty undeniable application for a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, while his recent link up with PUMA has positioned this star as an icon of the future.
We just had to sit down with the Aston Villa baller to chat dressing room drip, style inspiration and leaving a legacy.
“Unique,” Rogers says as he finds the word to describe his sense of style. It’s a crisp February day in Birmingham when we arrive on set to meet up with our latest cover star.
PUMA’s newest collections are laid out around the room. There’s four outfits to style, but first we want to hear more on Rogers’ organic dress sense.
“I try to be different and original,” he admits. “Some things work, some things don’t but you want to add your own twist on things. League Fits is a big thing I watch to see how the players are wearing different stuff. Being so tall and still being able to pull things off takes some doing.”
His love of basketball is apparent. There’s no Lebron James jerseys hung up in the midst of our PUMA selection, but there’s certainly plenty of these in Rogers’ own wardrobe.
Naturally, we have to find out his opinion on tunnel fits.
“Wearing the same tracksuit every time [to games] needs to be scrapped. Some people might be thinking too hard about their fit but I like the culture of American sports and how it is, so it’d be nice to filter that into the UK and Europe.
“I think it would be sick. Leon Bailey [would go hard in the tunnel] for sure. He’d do it on purpose as well, he’d wear stuff he knows people will question and make sure he pulls it off.”

After putting pen to paper on a deal with PUMA, Rogers has high expectations for the collaboration. His performances so far in the Future 7 boots have been eye-catching, to say the least, but the talented baller hopes to make a worldwide impact with the German brand.
“[Signature boots] are everyone’s dream. Imagine someone wearing your boots when you were younger – the thought of that is immense.
“Mine would be loud, out there and extravagant. I’d want it to be seen, people to know what it is and stamp my authority on it.
I don’t know exactly how it would look, but definitely something people would know what it is when they see it.”
His partnership with the brand just makes sense – joining the likes of Neymar Jr, Kai Havertz, Kingsley Coman and Jack Grealish as one of PUMA’s proud athletes.
“The love they’ve shown from the start is the most important thing. The way they were with me – the way they interacted with me – was the main reason that attracted me.
“Looking at the brand and how it’s so different from others, it’s not like anything else and I think that’s very much me.
“I don’t want to be in-line with other people, I want to be different. I feel like PUMA is perfect for me.”

Four outfits, endless photos and plenty of vibes later, we’re wrapping up and reflecting on a successful shoot. Rogers explains his favourite item of clothing was the Trench Coat, even though the PUMA Racer Jacket seems to have left an impression on him.
Before wishing him well for the rest of the season we steal one bit of advice from the Dudley-born baller.
“One negative opinion doesn’t define who you are, so don’t worry about it.”
