Founded in 2020, Footballer Fits has become the driving force behind football x fashion, serving as the leading platform for the support and encouragement of athlete self-expression on and off the pitch.

In the five years since our founding, we have worked with athletes, clubs and brands to shift the culture, eradicating pre-historic misconceptions around footballers by producing authentic, athlete-driven content that allows players to take control of their own narrative.

Born from a bedroom in England, our global audience now includes over 3.2 million people and reaches over 40 million viewers across our social media platforms monthly, of which the majority are Gen-Z.

The mission is simple: to change the game one outfit at a time.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to bring a new lease of life to our content and lead the creation of a refreshed social strategy with unique, authentic and original ideas to drive growth across all of our platforms. This role is perfect for young and hungry creatives immersed in football, fashion and athlete culture with a desire to help support players in their self-expression. You will be responsible for creating, shaping and posting content that aligns with our brand mission and continues to drive the growth of cultural crossovers in the game such as football, fashion and music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a social media strategy that drives the growth of our audience and overall engagement

• Lead the planning, drafting and posting of content across our Instagram platforms (@footballerfits/@wfootballerfits)

• Work in unison with our TikTok Lead and Editorial Lead to ensure social and editorial is aligned

• Lead social discussion in team calls and offer creative social-first ideas in pre-production strategy meetings

• Create best-in-class social content that showcases a deep knowledge of football x fashion culture

• Create and drive the conversation across football, fashion and music

• Track monthly analytics to identify strengths/weaknesses and create solutions to progress on areas to improve

• Attend company shoots with athletes and brands when needed and help execute social strategy on set

Requirements:

• Previous experience in managing and understanding social media platforms and their algorithms

• Key skills across content editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Capcut and Adobe Premiere Pro

• Ability to use Slack, Google Meet, Google Workspace and Trello or open to learning

• Strong communication (spelling/grammar) skills via email and video calls

• Excellent presentation in both content and social engagement reports

• Aware of the Footballer Fits brand and mission and can quickly adapt to our tone of voice

• Has a burning desire to create change in football and support athlete self-expression

• Hugely passionate about football, fashion and music and able to relate to athlete interests

• A strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms and engagement

• Hungry to make a name for themselves in the industry and drive the growth of our brand

• A creative with an eye for aesthetics and storytelling

• A positive member of the team with a desire to learn and support colleagues with tasks outside of their role

• Aspirations to turn the role full-time and to progress into a Head of Social role in the future
